This type of embroidery has many names, including “Depression Lace,” “Hoover Lace,” and “Amish Lace.” It is a variety of cross stitch that is worked on gingham fabric. In this two-day class, students will learn the basics of this type of embroidery, including the five traditional stitches. They will make an embroidered decorator
pillow. No previous embroidery experience is necessary. Students will need to be bring additional tools (embroidery hoop and needles) and materials (gingham, iron-on fabric, and pillow form) as specified by instructor before class.

Thursday and Friday, January 19 and 20, 10 am to Noon
Cost: $50 BSWG member, $80 non-BSWG member (includes 2022-2023 membership)
Level: Beginning (no previous embroidery experience is necessary)
